THINT UEH web1

Through Project 2020, Kilmuir Papers strives to tell as many people as possible, favouring young people, the story of David Maxwell Fyfe's journey from prosecutor at Nuremberg to champion of human rights in Strasbourg before the end of 2020.

2020 is the 75th anniversary of IMT Nuremberg

and the 70th anniversary of ECHR in Strasbourg.

We want to jog people's memories about the pressing value of universal human rights. It is vital to understand that modern human rights grew out of a forensic study of the failure and barbarism of the Nazi totalitarian regime. That these were lessons learnt and not dreamt up.

Working with our partners at English Cabaret we want to capitalise on our existing work, in particular performances of Dreams of Peace & Freedom, and extend our reach through film and further publication of the journey in Maxwell Fyfe's own words.

IN THE PERIOD LEADING UP TO 2020

WE WILL PUBLISH THE STORY IN HIS OWN WORDS,

PERFORM THE SONG CYCLE TO TOUCH MANY,

FILM AND RECORD THE SONG CYCLE TO REACH MORE,

PLACE THIS HISTORY AT THE HEART OF THE CAMPAIGN TO MAINTAIN
